Even professional riders have challenged each other several times on its hairpin bends and it is one of the few hills that can boast of having been included both in the Giro d'Italia, where it was the scene of undertakings by Marco Pantani in 1994 and Michele Scarponi in 2016. , both in the Tour de France, in 2008 and in 2011.
