6th DAY:
CHIANALE (IT) – REFUGE VISO (FR)
Breakfast. A tour loved by locals, the mythical climb to Monviso. Monviso mount, recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve, is rightly considered the "King of stone" due to its large size and altitude (3,841 meters) which, combined with the lack of mountains of
the same height nearby, makes it visible at a notable distance. It is a truly splendid mountain, worthy of a tour in the valleys that surround it. Ascent to the Soustra valley, then up to the Losetta pass (2,872 m) with an incomparable view of the Re di Pietra. We cross the Vallanta pass and then descend to France to the Refuge Viso where a relax moment, dinner and
overnight stay await us.

We reach the Giacoletti Refuge, descend to the Superiore, Lausetto and Fiorenzo lakes and we will arrive at Pian del Re, a huge plateau located at 2,020 m, famous for its extraordinary beauty and for being the birthplace of the Po, the longest river of Italy.
