PROGRAM

Saturday 21 May 2022 (full day)

Meeting at 9.30 am, setting of the bikes and briefing of the day with the guide. It starts by crossing the pedestrian area of Saluzzo, going up to the Castile , where the panorama of the Monviso and the plain will surround the history of Saluzzo and the Marquisate.

Continue towards Mant to on a splendid hilly balcony surrounded by orchards and villas, gliding towards the town and its castle that we cross in its historic center. In Verzuolo the route moves along secondary roads in the midst of flowering orchards, until it reaches Costigliole Saluzzo where a steep but short climb takes us in front of the Red Castle and then to the orange Big Bench, where the breathtaking view over the Cuneo plain and the Alps will repay the effort!

Here we enjoy the picnic based on typical products!

A quick descent takes us back to the orchards and always following country roads we reach Villafallet to , passage in the historic center. The march is resumed taking the path of the Maira , a fun single track that crosses the woods on the banks of the stream of the same name up to the hamlet of Monsola, where we leave the wilderness to return to the orchards that will accompany us up to Lagnasco .

Here Lena awaits us who will guide us to discover the fabulous and fragrant garden of essences and the many secret botanical species. We leave for Saluzzo accompanied by the sunset behind the Monviso, immersed once again in the magical atmosphere of the orchards in bloom.
